About The Position

Restaurant Bartenders provide service and prepare beverages for patrons of the bar and restaurant. They represent the hotel to guests, assist with guest needs, and complete daily duties and assigned projects in accordance with Hulsing Hotels’ principles, policies, and standards. The position is part-time at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lawrence in Lawrence, Kansas, with an hourly salary range of $7.50 to $7.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or at least one year of previous experience as a food and beverage server, bartender, or in another related field.
Team-oriented, empathetic, and friendly, with initiative.
Ability to represent the hotel professionally to hotel guests.

Nice To Haves

Previous hotel-related or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure guest satisfaction by following the proper service sequence.
Be conversant with a wide array of specialty drinks and cocktails.
Adhere to all pouring standards.
Card guests, and do not serve or allow alcohol service to minors or guests who appear intoxicated.
Efficiently serve multiple tables and guests.
Know menu item ingredients and cooking techniques, and present menu items correctly.
Operate the POS system efficiently.
Be professional, accommodating, helpful, and friendly in all guest interactions.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
