About The Position

The Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. This role adheres to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, sets up assigned bars, and maintains stock. The Bartender greets guests, takes and processes drink orders, mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks, and checks guest identification. The position also involves detecting and acting upon guest inebriation, handling cash transactions, securing the bank, performing general cleaning tasks, arranging bottles and glasses for an attractive display, and washing stemware. This is a role within Netflix House Dallas.

Must be able to set up assigned bars and stock beverages and supplies.
Must be able to prepare garnishes and store perishables.
Must be able to greet guests courteously and friendly.
Must be able to take and process drink orders accurately.
Must be able to mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard recipes.
Must be able to practice prudent portion control.
Must be able to check guest identification for proper age verification.
Must be able to detect and act upon guest inebriation.
Must demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Must be able to handle cash transactions accurately, including making change and verifying charges.
Must be able to secure bank and cash drops.
Must perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards.
Must keep work area clean and organized.
Must be able to arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
Must be able to wash and sterilize stemware.

Responsibilities

Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
Washes and sterilizes stemware.
Performs other duties as assigned.
