About The Position

The bartender is responsible for making, mixing, pouring, and preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests. This role involves upholding company values, interacting with guests, preparing drinks, managing orders and payments, and maintaining a clean and inviting bar environment. The position requires effective communication, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to perform calmly under stressful conditions while assisting the team to optimize the guest's dining experience.

Requirements

Valid certification for serving alcohol.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
Proper communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests.
Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize.
Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
Must tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
Report to work in the required complete uniform.
Maintain a well-groomed appearance and persona that reflects the restaurant's image.
Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant.

Responsibilities

Live and uphold Electric Hospitality values and culture.
Prepare guests’ drinks as ordered.
Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
Take drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from servers.
Input orders into the POS system.
Slice fruit or other garnishes for drinks.
Clean the bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar display.
Prepare bills and accept payment from guests.
Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking/dining experience.
Communicate effectively and courteously with guests and co-workers.
Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
Assist the team as needed to optimize the guest’s dining experience.
