About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for providing gracious, kind, and warm World Class Service and Old-World Hospitality and Charm to casino guests, ensuring an exciting environment. This role involves maintaining high cleanliness standards according to food service sanitation codes, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, possessing extensive menu knowledge, taking guest orders, anticipating needs, delivering orders, and tendering payments. The position emphasizes departmental goals of Consistency, Quality, and Sense of Urgency.

Requirements

Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate
Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
Minimum of 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Attention to detail and accuracy

Friendly, positive attitude

Responsibilities

Responsible for being punctual to pre-shift meeting with a positive attitude and openly participate
Consistently provide an exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality with Old-World Charm, as well as live the company core values
Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives to include adherence to all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards and guidelines
Provide consistent high-quality food and beverage service to all guests dining in the restaurants by adhering to sequence of service standards completely and correctly
Responsible to utilize "upselling" techniques
Adhere to all standardized recipes
Safeguard company assets and adheres to all policies and procedures
Maintain and be accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift
Create teamwork by helping co-workers with essential function
Balance all money transactions and paperwork
Adhere to all company policies and procedures to include strict adherence to attendance and appearance guidelines, as well as confidentially regarding guest information
Be alert for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency and/or vouchers
Balance all funds under his/her responsibility and prepare reconciliation reports accordingly
Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures
Maintain a clear and organized work area, cleaning as you go and cleaning spills immediately
Responsible for the use of chemicals as prescribed and responsibly
Ensure all chemicals are in properly labeled containers
Assist the supervisor in putting supplies away adhering to the 5S Principles of ensuring that items are “Sorted”, “Set in Order”, “Systematically Cleaned”, “Standardize”, and “Sustained” and dating all items with the current date
Conduct him/her in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous, and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values
Perform other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management
Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
Obtain required license(s)
Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
Responsible to take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling
Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the state regulations and Systems of Internal Controls
Responsible to take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of
