About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton is seeking a motivated and experienced Bartender / Server (Lead) to support the daily operations of the restaurant, lounge, and bar while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This hands-on leadership role combines bartending and serving responsibilities with team supervision, training, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate leads by example, ensures service excellence, and maintains Hilton hospitality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending and serving experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
  • Excellent guest service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Service Certification required or obtainable upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support bartenders, servers, and food runners during assigned shifts.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist management in resolving guest concerns and service recovery situations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and brand standards.
  • Provide exceptional table and bar service to guests.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily reconciliation procedures.
  • Promote menu items, specials, and beverage offerings to increase sales.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all service and bar areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Support banquet and special event operations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and local health department requirements.
