About The Position

The Bartender/Food Server is responsible for providing alcoholic beverage and food service to all guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service. This role involves greeting and seating guests, taking drink and food orders, monitoring guest needs, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining areas, and service stations. The position requires knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, reporting guest concerns to management, and safeguarding casino assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Possess or obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of bartending or serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent guest service, and understands all functions involved in day to day activities, highlighting and focusing on the 7 steps of service and SPIRIT.
  • Greets and seats guests while taking drink and food orders in a timely manner and accurately entering them into a POS system.
  • Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring quality, accuracy and food quality.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar, storage areas, dining room and service stations.
  • Removes used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables, sanitizing and cleaning up any water, food or spills.
  • Promptly busses tables throughout guests dining experience and prepares tables for turnover.
  • Replenishes supply of clean napkins, silverware, glassware and dishes in dining room.
  • Completes side duties as assigned, ensuring wait stations are stocked for following shift.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all food and beverage offerings, reviewing daily changes to the menu and specials.
  • Reports to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
  • Safeguards Three Rivers Casino assets and balances assigned bank accurately.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
