About The Position

Baristas take customer orders and prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications. They also operate cash registers and credit card machines. The role requires delivering attentive customer service, maintaining beverage and food quality, following operational and safety procedures, and keeping the workspace clean and organized.

Requirements

Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Ability to reach, turn, and perform precision work continuously.
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and guests in an attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
Multitask and prioritize to ensure outstanding service.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards and scheduling needs.
Must be available to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual events and set a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues.
Communicate information to the manager so the team can respond and create a warm, welcoming environment.
Assist with training new partners by reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful, encouraging coaching.
Deliver outstanding customer service, connect with customers, and discover and respond to their needs.
Follow Starbucks and property operational policies and procedures, including cash-handling, safety, and security procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace so associates can locate resources and products.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Provide quality beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products in accordance with recipe and presentation standards.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Attend required hotel meetings and training.
Maintain standards for personal appearance, uniform, and grooming.
Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
