About The Position

SCP is seeking a friendly morning person to work part time in its Hotel Cafe in Redmond, Oregon. The shift starts early in the morning and ends in the early afternoon. The barista provides friendly, fast, and personalized service in accordance with hotel standards in a warm, welcoming, fast-paced environment. The role includes accurately preparing beverages, serving light meals, processing cash-register sales, and maintaining an accurate bank. The employee also helps ensure guest satisfaction, resolves complaints, completes daily setup and preparation for the next shift, and exemplifies SCP's culture and core values. Requirements

Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
State Alcohol Serving Certificate.
State Food Handlers Certificate.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in cashiering, as a barista, or in food running is preferred.

Responsibilities

Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests regardless of workload or time of day.
Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints to the guests’ satisfaction.

Provide guests with friendly, fast, and personalized service in accordance with hotel standards.
Accurately prepare beverages and serve light meals in a warm, welcoming, fast-paced manner.
Ring sales orders into the cash register and maintain an accurate bank during cash transactions.
Complete daily setup procedures and prepare for the next shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
