About The Position
The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Barista to join the Food and Beverage Team! Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle. The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining. Responsibilities
- Greeting and serving guests beverages and/or food
- Greeting guests and responding to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Brewing, selling, promoting and preparing beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Taking guest beverage orders and accurately inputting orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
- Maintaining cleanliness of work area/outlet
- Accurately totaling, processing and collecting payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates and cards
- Requisitioning, stocking and rotating products
- Securing and storing all beverages, food and other equipment items
- Performing general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
