About The Position

The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club, located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, is seeking a Reservations Agent to join its team. The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff and features over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD. This is a full-time position with various shifts, requiring availability to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays. The pay rate for this role is $23, based on applicable and specialized experience and location. As a Reservations Sales Specialist, the agent will be responsible for answering reservation calls in a welcoming and professional tone, adhering to the highest standards of guest service and Forbes standards.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all guest calls in a timely manner, extending excellent service and Forbes standards with all guest interactions.
  • Effective coordination of booking room, restaurant, spa and golf reservations; reservation and guest information is complete and entered accurately.
  • Use selling strategies to maximize conversion, upsell room accommodations and decrease call abandonment to increase hotel revenue.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all hotel features and services including dining outlets, spa offerings, golf details, all room types, rates, special packages, promotions, daily arrivals/departures/room availability and scheduled in-house group activities.
