About The Position

The Barista creates a memorable customer experience by providing fast, friendly service and consistent, quality products. The role involves performing job duties according to current company processes and procedures while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Baristas model the company’s core values of integrity, love, humility, and courage. This position is with a Scooter’s Coffee franchisee, which is the employee’s employer and independently sets its employment terms, wages, and benefits. The role offers free coffee, no late nights, work with premium beans and espresso, and a fun environment. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

Greet and connect with each customer.
Welcome questions and seek opportunities to educate customers about products.
Suggestively sell gift cards, complementary or additional products, and merchandise.
Solicit orders, enter sales, and process payments in a timely and friendly manner.
Manage the cash drawer according to established cash-handling procedures.
Serve customer orders according to recipe and aesthetic guidelines.
Deliver products within established speed-of-service guidelines and identify drinks upon delivery.
Sign wave outside the store when scheduled to assist with promotions and customer traffic.
Line-bust outside the store when scheduled to help improve speed of service.
Operate and maintain the cleanliness of store equipment.
Restock workstations, food, supplies, and merchandise to optimize workflow efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness of coworker and customer areas.
Demonstrate genuine appreciation to each customer.
Follow company processes and procedures and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
