About The Position

Sonesta Nashville Airport is seeking to fill the position of barista in the Starbucks located within the hotel. The candidate will be responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer and represents our company in a professional manner. The Barista is responsible for opening and closing the coffee shop daily. As a cashier, you are responsible for handling money, greeting guests and providing great experience for our customers. This position could be full or part-time.

Requirements

Attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Food handlers and TIPS certificates required.
Previous front-facing guest service experience required.
Must read, write and speak the English language fluently.
Experience with computerized cash registers preferred.

Responsibilities

Open and close the shop according to established policies and procedures.
Operate an espresso machine and other shop equipment to prepare drinks and pastries per established procedures and customer requests.
Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
Reconcile the cash register daily using daily sales report.
Maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness in the shop.
Maintain appropriate storage standards for food items.
Communicate with the Restaurant manager regarding all equipment maintenance concerns and non-equipment related issues or concerns.
All other duties as assigned.
