Ritual Coffee is hiring a part-time, flexible Barista to cover shifts as needed at its Napa cafe and occasionally work catering events. The role suits someone who is enthusiastic about coffee, customer service, teamwork, and quality, and who can adapt to different cafe responsibilities. Exact systems and techniques are taught on the job; the barista is expected to be humble, proactive, helpful, open to feedback, and willing to problem-solve. The position is regular, variable-hour, hourly, non-exempt, and up to 25 hours per week. Flex Baristas must respond to every direct request to work within 48 hours and are supervised by the Cafe Manager. Ritual Coffee began in 2005 and operates cafes in San Francisco and Napa, with roasting in SoMa. The company says it sources more than 90% of its beans from producer partners with whom it has relationships, and its mission is to make people happy by providing an exceptional coffee experience. Ritual is committed to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces and a staff that reflects the diversity of people who love coffee. The position requires a flexible schedule, shifts of 4–8 hours with as little as 24 hours’ notice, and availability for at least one weekend day each week. Baristas work with direct supervision and training support to serve customers, maintain cafe operations and cleanliness, communicate about availability, and contribute to the culture and growth of the business. The stated starting wage is $19.75 per hour plus tips, with opportunities for training and performance-based raises.
