Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and techniques.
  • Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in drink preparation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., bags of coffee beans).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure the proper grinding, tamping, and extraction of coffee to consistently deliver excellent taste and quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and accurately processing payments.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about our menu offerings and making recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee preparation station, equipment, and dining area.
  • Monitor and restock inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service during peak hours.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new coffee blends, and brewing techniques to enhance your knowledge and provide an exceptional coffee experience to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction.
