This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas. Responsibilities include inputting orders into the cash register system, collecting payment, taking orders, recording them in the MICROS system, and preparing food and coffee beverages. The Barista will ensure appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times, bus coffee cart areas and tables, and clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Obtaining the required change for expected business levels is also part of the role. At the end of the shift, the Barista will count the bank, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and completing safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protecting company assets, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information are essential. The Barista will welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others and supporting the team to reach common goals are expected. The role also requires adherence to quality expectations and standards. This position involves reading and visually verifying information in various formats, visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines, and performing tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. It includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for manipulating objects of varying size and weight. The role may require moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, moving up and down stairs and/or service ramps, and reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may also be assigned.
