About The Position

Supports the Common Grounds coffee shop and/or supervisor. This is a temporary, non-benefit eligible position, working 19 hours per week. The work schedule includes either an opening shift (early morning) or a closing shift (mid-morning to early afternoon).

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to work with a minimal level of supervision as well as in a team environment
• Ability to follow directions and procedures
• Ability to consistently provide quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and the public
• Ability to problem-solve, follow directions, and be self-motivated
• Possess a cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, students and the public

Nice To Haves

• Previous cashiering experience
• Previous Barista experience

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes Common Grounds customers and offers assistance
• Takes and prepares beverage orders
• Performs cashier functions
• Cleans espresso machine and restocks supplies
• Cleans and maintains general cleanliness for coffee station work area and common area
• May perform other like duties
