About The Position

Baristas prepare and serve coffee and other beverages, create espresso-based drinks, take orders, handle cash transactions, explain menu items, and prepare food. The role also involves food handling, stocking, cleaning, trash removal, dishwashing, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Flexibility with hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. The position demands teamwork and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work calmly in a high stress environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, any times or days needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to negotiate stairs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment.
  • Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information.
  • Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with this position.
  • Must own non-slip shoes.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Previous coffee shop experience.
  • TIPS certification preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and serves coffee and other beverages.
  • Creates espresso-based drinks.
  • Takes orders and handles cash transactions using a POS system.
  • Explains menu items to guests.
  • Handles food preparation and cooking of food items.
  • Focuses on guest service and ensures the highest guest satisfaction.
  • Performs proper food handling.
  • Stocks the outlet for future business.
  • Busses dining room tables.
  • Removes trash.
  • Washes dishes.
  • Cleans guest and employee areas.
  • Assists with restroom cleanliness.
  • Wears nametags daily.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensures accuracy in cash handling.
  • Reports any thefts immediately to a manager.
  • Greets, makes small talk with, and thanks every guest.
  • Supports team members through teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Keeps cash handling area stocked and clean.
  • Knows policies regarding payments accepted.
  • Continually cleans and organizes the location.
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture”.
  • Upholds a professional image.
  • Strives to exceed guest expectations and create memories.
