About The Position

The Barista helps deliver an elevated coffee experience that reflects the hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality. The role prepares expertly crafted espresso drinks and specialty beverages, creates latte art, offers thoughtful recommendations, and anticipates guest needs to make each interaction personal and memorable. The Barista contributes to a welcoming café atmosphere through coffee expertise, attention to detail, and attentive service, while collaborating with culinary, pastry, and hotel service teams.

Requirements

• Strong espresso preparation, milk-texturing, and beverage presentation skills.
• Excellent communication, guest service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle transactions accurately.
• Required food handler certifications and any applicable alcohol service permits must be obtained and maintained.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, glassware, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise beverage preparation and service.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and during peak service periods as needed.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment and follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous barista experience in specialty coffee, upscale cafés, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of coffee origins, roasts, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $16 plus tips, with average earnings of $24 per hour.
