Barista/Supervisor - Full Time - Year Round
About The Position
Volante Farms is seeking a Barista/Supervisor to join its growing food service team in Needham, Massachusetts. The role works in the coffee shop and seasonal ice cream stand, preparing beverages and serving customers, while also supporting other food service departments. The supervisor helps plan daily operations, supervise staff, and receive deliveries. This is a full-time, year-round position with a schedule of five days per week. Weekday shifts run from 10 a.m. until closing at 7 p.m., followed by about 15 minutes of closing duties; weekend shifts run from 9 a.m. until closing at 6 p.m., followed by about 15 minutes of closing duties. The employer is looking to hire as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Service-oriented, with the ability to handle customers’ needs and questions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Cash register knowledge.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 80 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee and specialty beverages and scoop ice cream.
- Welcome and interact with customers.
- Cash out customers.
- Assist the bakery, kitchen, and deli.
- Assist in planning for the day, supervising staff, and receiving deliveries.
