About The Position
Green Sage Café is looking for a hardworking Barista/Server who's excited to grow with us—not just in the front of house, but across the whole café. We believe the best leaders understand every corner of the kitchen, and we're committed to building those skills from within. We're seeking individuals who have a passion for food, resonate with our company's values, and genuinely respect our customers' lifestyle choices. We proudly serve a diverse customer base with a variety of dietary needs—including vegan, gluten-sensitive, dairy-free, and more. At Green Sage, we invest in our people. That means cross-training opportunities in the kitchen—prepping, cooking, dishwashing, and more—for those who are curious and eager to learn. No prior kitchen experience required, just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and grow. Our goal is to develop strong, well-rounded leaders! Green Sage is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m., with shifts available between 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.—no late nights, ever.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic about hospitality
- A genuine interest in learning kitchen skills and growing within the company
- Must have weekend availability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Comfortable on your feet for six or more hours a day
- Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous fast-casual, café, or restaurant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with kitchen duties—including dishwashing, food prep, and basic line cook responsibilities
- Greet every customer with fast, friendly, and personalized service
- Handle customer requests and concerns with patience and a positive attitude
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens
- Learn, practice, and safely operate all required equipment
- Take orders quickly and accurately, including proper payment and cash handling
- Prepare hot and cold beverages accurately according to house recipes
- Deliver orders to customers promptly and correctly
- Keep dining areas clean and welcoming through bussing, wiping tables, and general upkeep
- Complete prep, restocking, cleaning, side work, and opening/closing duties per company checklists
