About The Position

James Perse, a California-based lifestyle brand, is opening its first US Café in West Hollywood and is hiring a full-time Barista/Server. This role is critical in serving as a brand ambassador, embodying the spirit and behaviors of the James Perse brand. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, possess an eye for detail, and exhibit an outgoing, confident, and customer-focused service style. Experience in a fast-paced, top-tier specialty coffee setting is essential.

Requirements

6 months to 1 year of experience as a barista, server, or busboy in a fast-paced restaurant or café.
Willingness to learn about coffee, food items, luxury brands, and the importance of exceptional customer service.
Outgoing, positive, and friendly demeanor.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day.
Ability to lift and move boxes up to 35 lbs (16 kg).

Responsibilities

Ensuring all café customers are satisfied with services and food by providing excellent customer service and building relationships with returning customers.
Taking customer food and beverage orders.
Offering recommendations based on best-seller menu items.
Running orders out to tables.
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with regular clients.
Ensuring that all customers’ needs are met.
Regularly cleaning, wiping tables, polishing glasses, and cutlery.
Offering exceptional, detail-oriented customer service.
Working with 3rd party delivery applications to satisfy client orders.
