About The Position

Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking to hire an enthusiastic, organically upbeat Barista/Retail Attendant to prepare and serve customers at their retail shop & coffee shop. The role involves providing service with a bright smile in a fun, fast-paced, diverse team environment with a great atmosphere and a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The resort emphasizes being your best self, doing the right thing, bringing your natural smile, and having fun.

Requirements

• Must be able to consistently provide excellent and engaging customer service
• 1 – 2 years of retail experience required
• Ability to lift up to 20lbs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to stay calm in a fast paced and sometimes stressful situations with guest
• Flexibility to work hours that may change based on the season or business needs
• Ability to learn new recipes and techniques
• Ability to work well as part of a team or as an independent contractor
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in espresso bar service is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Greeting all guests in an upbeat and professional manner
• Making coffees/specialty coffees
• Selling/Upselling items in retail shop
• Prepare & service ice cream/gelato to guests
• Replenishment of all food & beverage items
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop during operating hours (sweeping, sanitizing, wiping down areas on a consistent basis)
• Assist with monthly inventory, including counting, scanning, restocking, organizing
