We strive to develop strong connections within the communities we serve. CC Holdings is currently seeking friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our highly skilled growing team! Part-time Barista/Cashier positions are now being filled at our Au Bon Pain Café located in Methodist Hospital. Shifts available seven days a week: 6 AM-3 PM, 3 PM-10:45 PM, 5 PM-10:45 PM (shifts vary), must have flexibility. The barista prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothie drinks in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. Baristas are responsible for educating guests on our drink menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, and taking orders. As a cashier, you are responsible for processing cash, debit, and credit card transactions on a point-of-sale system. Cashiers balance the cash drawer, make change, and enter purchases. Customer service skills are required. Starting rate $13 an hour and up, depending on experience! If you are looking for a fun, fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you!!

Responsibilities

Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothie drinks in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner.
Educates guests on drink menus, makes recommendations based on preferences, up-sells special items, and takes orders.
Processes cash, debit, and credit card transactions on a point-of-sale system.
Balances the cash drawer, makes change, and enters purchases.
Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
Follows portion control and presentation specifications.
Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
Properly uses and maintains all equipment in the station.
Acts as the front-line customer service representative, smiling, greeting customers, ringing their order in a fast, hospitable manner and creating a lasting impression.
Demonstrates hospitality, respect, and kindness toward customers and fellow team members.
Merchandise products, check for quality, ensures presentation and restocks.
Provides service that is fast, timely, and accurate by communicating, organizing tasks, and teamwork (assisting other baristas with customers).
Suggestive sells and keeps customers informed and aware of products, promotions, and other services.
Follows all cash handling procedures as outlined.
Assists in financial accountability by correctly recording orders, receiving/giving change, and counting the drawer.
Thanks the customers and invites them to return.
Acts as a role model with customers and staff, and helps provide on-the-job training for new barista/cashier.
Works with others in a team to support operations, standards, and concept essence.
Deals with changes.
Demonstrates excellent communication and listening skills.
Demonstrates a passion for hospitality and coffee.
Assists in other tasks when asked.
