About The Position

The Barista-Cashier is an entry-level position at CC Holdings, serving customers at Java House Bistro, Lift Off, and Shapiro’s at the Indianapolis International Airport. The role provides friendly, efficient customer service while supporting daily restaurant and café operations. Duties include taking orders, processing payments, preparing and serving beverages and menu items, keeping work areas clean and organized, and assisting with general restaurant duties. The airport locations operate Monday through Sunday from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with varying shifts. Nights and weekends are required. The anticipated start date is between October and December, depending on hiring and onboarding timelines. Requirements

Arrive in proper uniform and follow company grooming and appearance standards.
Follow recipes, procedures, portion requirements, and food-presentation standards.

Learn and properly use restaurant equipment and tools after training.

Prior experience in a café, restaurant, kitchen, or other food-service environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional, attentive service.
Accurately take customer orders and communicate order details to appropriate team members.
Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments accurately.
Prepare coffee, beverages, food, and other menu items according to recipes and café standards.
Follow portion-control, presentation, and product-quality standards.
Follow procedures for orders involving food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Set up and organize the assigned station before and during the shift.
Monitor station inventory and restock food, beverages, supplies, and other items as needed.
Operate, clean, and maintain equipment and tools used at the assigned station.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the assigned station, service areas, equipment, floors, and other designated areas.
Handle, cover, label, store, and dispose of food and materials in accordance with food-safety procedures.
Assist with opening, closing, and other daily restaurant operations as assigned.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
Support other work areas and perform additional duties as needed to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
