Located within Shaver Food Hall, The Bodega blends the warmth of a neighborhood market with the energy of a bustling coffee bar. Serving Sweetleaf Coffee, freshly baked goods, and curated retail items, The Bodega is a space where quality, creativity, and community come together daily. We’re powered by precision and care — using an Eversys espresso system to craft consistent, high-quality espresso drinks while creating an inviting experience that reflects the spirit of Shaver Food Hall. Bodega Bar is a self-pour tap experience that gives guests the freedom to explore and enjoy a rotating selection of craft beers and wines — all poured at their own pace. Featuring 20 taps of local and international selections, Bodega Bar combines innovation, great taste, and hospitality to create a truly interactive experience. Our team helps guests discover new favorites, understand how the system works, and enjoy a smooth, memorable visit every time.

Requirements

  • Passion for coffee, beers, wines, hospitality, and guest service.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests warmly, ensuring an excellent experience every time.
  • Prepare Sweetleaf Coffee beverages using the Eversys espresso machine with consistency and care.
  • Operate the POS system for both coffee and retail transactions accurately.
  • Verify valid IDs and ensure all guests meet the legal drinking age before providing access cards.
  • Educate guests on how to use the Bodega Bar system, including tapping cards and selecting pours.
  • Provide information about available beers, wines, and rotating selections.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tap wall and surrounding area.
  • Assist with stocking and product rotation to ensure fresh and consistent offerings.
  • Monitor guest behavior and promote responsible alcohol consumption in line with company and state policies.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system.
  • Maintain stock levels for coffee and retail items; restock and organize displays as needed.
  • Keep the Bodega clean, organized, and inviting throughout the day.
  • Follow all food handling, health, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Communicate supply needs or equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Support the team during opening, closing, and peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
