About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The Barback will stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools according to set-up guidelines is essential. The role also requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training and certifications. Ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also key responsibilities. The Barback will welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals are important. Quality expectations and standards must be met. The role requires reading and visually verifying information, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for manipulating objects. Movement may occur over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job. Other reasonable duties may be requested by Supervisors.

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Responsibilities

Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors.
Check with captain or supervisor before leaving at end of shift.
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables.
Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
Assist individuals with disabilities.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
