About The Position

The Barback for Special Events during Spring and Summer 2027 supports the smooth and efficient operation of bar services at high-profile events across the United States. The role involves maintaining the bar area, restocking supplies, assisting bartenders, monitoring inventory, and helping uphold health and safety standards. It requires adaptability in fast-paced environments and the ability to anticipate the needs of bartenders and guests, contributing to a positive event experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older as per local regulations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the Spring and Summer event season.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a barback or similar support role is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in fast-paced special event or hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of bar operations, including familiarity with common beverages and bar equipment.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
• Ability to multitask effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies throughout the event.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including promptly washing glassware and utensils.
• Set up and break down bar stations before and after events.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management to prevent shortages.
• Support bartenders in delivering prompt and courteous service to guests.
