About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of beverage stations and equipment in accordance with property standards. This role involves ensuring beverage areas in the restaurant, casino bar stations, Silver Creek Event Center, and pool bar areas are clean. The Barback will provide and replenish beverage stock and supplies, remove empty bottles and trash, and prepare garnishes. They will also manage records of liquor and supplies, serve as a backup for bartenders when needed, and promote outstanding guest service. The position requires participation as a team member to ensure efficient operations and adherence to health and safety regulations. The Barback will assist and cover breaks for bartenders, replenish ice, anticipate the needs of bartenders and guests, and follow responsible consumption guidelines. Additionally, they will sweep and mop bar and beverage service areas as requested. The role also emphasizes creating a fun atmosphere for guests and fostering mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees by setting positive examples.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of one year previous experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems.
  • This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans beverage areas in restaurant and casino bar stations, Silver Creek Event Center and pool bar areas.
  • Provides and replenishes beverage stock and supplies.
  • Removes empty bottles and trash.
  • Prepares necessary fruit for use as garnishes.
  • Receives, issues and keeps necessary records of liquor store and supplies.
  • Serves as back up for bartenders when necessary.
  • Promotes outstanding guests services on a continual basis.
  • Participates as a team member with bartenders, utilities, servers, supervisors and all other pertinent employees in ensuring a efficient operation.
  • Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
  • Assists and covers breaks for bartender when applicable.
  • Replenishes ice as needed.
  • Anticipates needs of bartenders and guests.
  • Follows all C.A.R.E. guidelines to help assist with guests’ responsible consumption.
  • Sweeps and mops bar and beverage service areas when requested.
