About The Position

The Barback position at the Sheraton Brookhollow is part of the Food & Beverage department. This role supports the bar operations by ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and the bar area is clean and well-maintained. The Sheraton Brookhollow is a large hotel with extensive amenities, located in a major Houston business district, offering a dynamic environment for hospitality professionals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic bar operations a plus.
Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor preferred.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Understanding safety, sanitation, and proper chemical use.

Responsibilities

Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
Clean and maintain the bar area, including counters, sinks, floors, and equipment.
Remove trash, replace liners, and maintain recycling and disposal areas.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating beverage inventory.
Refill ice bins and maintain proper ice levels throughout the shift.
Cut garnishes and prepare basic bar prep items.
Assist bartenders with service needs during busy periods.
Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and company policies.
Report any equipment or maintenance issues to management.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
