This role involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The barback will stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and remove soiled wares from the bar and tables. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools according to set-up guidelines is crucial. The position also requires adherence to company and safety policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service are also key responsibilities. This includes welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication and positive working relationships with colleagues are essential for supporting team goals and meeting quality standards. The role requires the ability to read and visually verify information, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to navigate various surfaces and stairs are necessary. The barback must also be able to reach overhead, below the knees, and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
