Barback/Busperson, Extra List (On-Call) - InterContinental San Francisco
About The Position
Assist servers and bartenders in cultivating memorable food & beverage for our guests. Every day is different but mostly you'll be assisting restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests; maintaining cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment; stocking all wares and equipment needed for service in accordance with hotel standards and established InterContinental policies and procedures. You will also assist Bartenders and Cocktail Servers by stocking bars with designated supplies, ensuring no shortages for guest service; and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment, in accordance with hotel standards and established InterContinental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year experience in the same or similar role in an upscale or fine dining establishment
- The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
- A good grasp of reading, writing and basic math
- Compliance with local laws on food handling
- Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to

Benefits
- The hourly pay range for this role is $20.325 to $27.10.
