About The Position

The Bar Supervisor at The Waymark Hotel will direct the operational efforts and strategies of all food and beverage outlets. This role involves supervising associates across various departments including restaurant, lounge, banquet, kitchen, utility, and sanitation. The supervisor will be responsible for training associates on food preparation, presentation, sanitation, and service standards, as well as assisting with scheduling, evaluations, and associate guidance. Maintaining open communication between management and staff, administering disciplinary actions, and ensuring associates have the necessary tools and equipment are key aspects of this position. The role also requires taking immediate action to resolve operational issues, participating in various meetings and inventory, ensuring food quality standards are met, and supporting food service operations across the hotel as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in full-service restaurants required.
  • Knowledge of beverage cost controls and sequence of service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Micros system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling, evaluating, and guiding associates.
  • Maintain open communication between management and staff; administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure associates have the tools and equipment needed to perform their jobs.
  • Take immediate action to resolve operational issues in the kitchen or restaurant.
  • Participate in weekly staff, sales, and food & beverage meetings, as well as monthly inventory.
  • Ensure all food served meets quality standards and is prepared according to recipes.
  • Support food service operations across the hotel as needed.
