About The Position

The Beverage team at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and unforgettable experiences. We’re currently hiring casual Bar Porters to support smooth and efficient beverage service across a wide range of events. From preparing and stocking bar setups to assisting Bartenders during service, this behind-the-scenes role is essential to our success. Successful candidates will be organized, safety-conscious, physically capable, and flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Smart Serve Certification is required. Please note that the minimum age for handling alcohol is 18 years
Good communication and organizational skills
This position includes some heavy lifting
Shift work on evenings, overnights, weekends and Holidays
Candidates must be available to work during the Autoshow
Candidates must have their own safety shoes

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to candidates with previous bar porter experience
Pump truck and tugger certification is an asset

Responsibilities

Sign requisition, collect liquor/beer from stockroom, and transport using pump truck.
Retrieve and set up bar cart at venue.
Clean, organize, and stock bar with beverages, napkins, stir sticks, and supplies.
Unload beverage cases at venue.
Clean and polish glasses.
Restock beverages, glasses, supplies, and ice as needed.
Assist with cleanup: box empty bottles, load onto skid, shrink-wrap, and move to loading dock.
