The Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining clean working bars in accordance with ABC and Health Department standards. This role involves removing trash, cleaning bars, mopping and sweeping storerooms and walk-in coolers, and managing the removal of empty CO2 tanks, beer kegs, and soda boxes to their proper locations. The position also includes deep cleaning of bars on both boats and land, stocking bars, responding to bartender requests for stock, monitoring stock levels, retrieving bar supplies, stocking and rotating the bar, washing glasses, and ensuring the ice bin is filled. Additionally, the Bar Porter will retrieve requested beverages from the storage dock, manually push loaded carts to designated storage areas and bars, assist bartenders, and interact positively with guests and co-workers. Responsibilities also include changing CO2 tanks, beer kegs, and soda boxes, assisting with stock delivery, cleaning and maintaining break rooms (for boat porters), assisting cocktail servers with glass removal, notifying managers of equipment problems, and following safety rules. The role requires the ability to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, and perform other duties as assigned.
