About The Position

The Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining clean working bars in accordance with ABC and Health Department standards. This role involves removing trash, cleaning bars, mopping and sweeping storage areas and walk-in coolers, and managing the removal of empty CO2 tanks, beer kegs, and soda boxes. The Bar Porter also stocks bars, responds to bartender requests, retrieves bar supplies and beverages from storage, washes glasses, and ensures the ice bin is filled. Additionally, the role requires assisting bartenders and cocktail servers, providing friendly service to guests and co-workers, changing CO2 tanks, beer kegs, and soda boxes, assisting with stock delivery, cleaning break rooms, notifying managers of equipment problems, and following safety rules. Flexibility in working various shifts, including holidays and weekends, is necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean working bars in accordance with ABC and Health Department standards.
• Remove trash and clean bars, mop and sweep the storeroom and walk-in coolers.
• Remove all empty CO2 tanks, beer kegs and soda boxes to proper locations.
• Perform deep cleaning of bars on both boats and land.
• Stock bars, respond to bartender requests for stock and check bar to monitor stock levels.
• Retrieve bar supplies from the storage area; stock and rotate the bar as required.
• Wash glasses and ensure the ice bin is filled.
• Retrieve requested beverages from storage dock and manually push loaded carts to designated storage area and bars.
• Assist bartenders.
• Smile and make eye contact when in contact with guests.
• Provide friendly, quick, professional service to guests and co-workers.
• Change CO2 tanks, beer kegs and soda boxes.
• Assist with the delivery of the stock.
• Clean and maintain break rooms (boat porters).
• Assist cocktail servers on glass removal.
• Notify managers of equipment problems.
• Follow safety rules.
