About The Position

The Bar Helper in Casino Bars supports the Bartender and helps facilitate smooth service to customers by bartenders and beverage servers. The role involves replenishing stock, cleaning behind the bar, maintaining required par stock at the assigned station, and obtaining replacement stock from the dispensing room or warehouse according to established procedures. The Bar Helper keeps the assigned station clean and orderly, assists with guests’ special requests, and during busy periods ices drink glasses and pours non-alcoholic drinks. The position also requires meeting attendance guidelines, following regulatory, departmental, and company policies, and demonstrating Harrah’s Spotlight 5 behaviors: initiating a friendly greeting, smiling and making eye contact, showing an upbeat and positive attitude, checking for satisfaction, and providing a warm farewell.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess speed, friendliness, and accuracy of service.
• Ability to give C.A.S.H. to guests and employees.
• Keep areas of responsibility neat and clean at all times.
• Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Present a well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bartender and facilitate smooth service to customers by bartenders and beverage servers.
• Replenish stock and perform required cleaning behind the bar.
• Check and maintain required par stock at the assigned station.
• Obtain replacement stock from the dispensing room and/or warehouse in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the assigned station.
• Assist the bartender with guests’ special requests.
• During busy periods, ice drink glasses and pour non-alcoholic drinks.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Demonstrate Harrah’s Spotlight 5 behaviors: initiate a friendly greeting, smile and make eye contact, demonstrate an upbeat and positive attitude, check for satisfaction, and provide a warm farewell.
