About The Position

The Bar Helper in Casino Bars supports the Bartender by helping maintain smooth customer service and efficient bar operations. The role includes replenishing stock, keeping the assigned station clean and orderly, assisting with guest requests, icing drink glasses, and pouring non-alcoholic drinks during busy periods. The Bar Helper is expected to follow attendance guidelines and applicable regulatory, departmental, and company policies, and to demonstrate Harrah’s Spotlight 5 guest-service behaviors: initiating a friendly greeting, smiling and making eye contact, maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude, checking for satisfaction, and providing a warm farewell.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess speed, friendliness, and accuracy of service.
• Must be able to give C.A.S.H. to guests and employees.
• Must keep areas of responsibility neat and clean at all times.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Work behind the bar to facilitate smooth service to customers by bartenders and beverage servers.
• Replenish stock and perform required cleaning behind the bar.
• Check and maintain required par stock at the assigned station.
• Obtain replacement stock from the dispensing room and/or warehouse in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the assigned station.
• Assist the bartender by retrieving guests’ special requests.
• During busy periods, ice drink glasses and pour non-alcoholic drinks.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Demonstrate Harrah’s Spotlight 5 behaviors: initiate a friendly greeting, smile and make eye contact, demonstrate an upbeat and positive attitude, check for satisfaction, and provide a warm farewell.
