This position is responsible for completing the final breakdown of functions by cleaning the room and returning equipment to its proper location. The role also involves completing closing duties such as storing reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down goods. Additionally, the Banquets Steward will set up, stock, and maintain work areas, monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Responsibilities include transporting dirty linen to the correct area for cleaning, separating napkins from tablecloths, and restocking linen shelves with clean linens. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas throughout the day using clean-as-you-go procedures and assisting other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests are also key functions. The role requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and protecting company assets are essential. The position involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest needs, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards are expected. The role requires the ability to read and visually verify information, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight. This includes moving over uneven surfaces and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The role also involves reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.
