About The Position

The Banquets Houseperson ensures function rooms are set according to guest expectations and Omni standards. The role sets up, breaks down, and cleans spaces associated with banquets and conventions. The position is based at Omni La Mansion del Rio in downtown San Antonio.

Requirements

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multitask.
• Able to stand and walk for an extended period or an entire shift.
• Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds regularly and continuously.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to communicate satisfactorily in basic English.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.

Nice To Haves

• Previous related experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and maintain meeting rooms.
• Refresh meeting rooms during meals and coffee breaks.
• Complete the final breakdown of meeting rooms.
• Clean equipment and return it to its proper location.
• Follow instructions on the Banquet Event Order.
• Assist other departments as needed to ensure optimum guest service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
