About The Position

Oversees banquet operations and serves food and beverages for private events, ensuring high standards of service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of bartending experience, ideally within a high-volume hospitality, banquet, or casino setting.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members.
  • Collaborative, friendly, and guest-focused attitude with a professional and well-groomed appearance.
  • Must complete Responsible Alcohol Service Training and strictly enforce cut-off procedures.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings and obtain/maintain all required occupational licensing.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend, stoop, and twist while serving.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain manual dexterity to handle glassware, trays, garnishes, and cash.
  • Requires visual acuity, auditory perception, and manual dexterity to handle items and communicate effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while upholding a professional demeanor
  • Capability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods
  • Ability to move efficiently and maintain urgency during peak operational hours

Responsibilities

  • Supervise banquet staff and overall execution of scheduled events
  • Proactively anticipate and fulfill client needs to ensure exceptional service
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of event-specific food and beverage menus
  • Coordinate room setup, meal service, and event breakdown
  • Lead pre-shift briefings to review timelines, menus, and side-work assignments
  • Enforce food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure team members adhere to uniform and professional grooming standards
  • Assist with serving or bartending for events as needed
  • Liaise with culinary team to coordinate service timing and guest counts
  • Maintain high awareness of occupational hazards to foster a safe work environment
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned
