Banquet Setup Attendant - Year Round
About The Position
The Banquet Setup Attendant is responsible for ensuring all event spaces are set up and broken down accurately and efficiently according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and exceptional service standards. This role plays a key part in creating a seamless and professional experience for guests and clients. Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

- Patience and professionalism in guest-facing situations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on various surfaces.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and overhead movement.
- Occasional pushing and pulling of carts or equipment.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down meeting and event rooms, including furniture, staging, and equipment, per BEO specifications.
- Properly care for, move, and store equipment such as tables, risers, dance floors, lecterns, and room supplies.
- Straighten chairs, change soiled table linens, empty trash cans, and restock materials as needed.
- Periodically clean meeting and event rooms before and after events, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and wiping surfaces.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
- Follow all resort policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients during functions as needed.
- Collaborate with banquet servers, bartenders, captains, managers, and other resort staff to ensure smooth event execution.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
