Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred.
  • Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.
  • Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
  • Obtain and maintain position- specific licensing.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Good team spirit.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Must have ServSafe and TABC license

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of any banquet rooms, hallways, storage and service areas.
  • Responsible for the routine inventorying and care of supplies such as linens, chairs, China, glassware, flatware and decorations.
  • Responsible for the set-up of banquet and catering events which includes but it not limited to tables, linens, chairs, China, glassware, flatware and decorations.
  • Responsible for the setup of events to be in line with the event order.
  • Responsible for the in-event assistance of servers, transporting tables and equipment, reporting maintenance issues to management and providing requested information to banquet patrons.
  • Set up and break down temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures.
  • Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management.
  • Assists audio-visual personnel in the setting up of speakers, monitors and video equipment.
  • Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned work areas.
  • Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
  • Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Work as a team, assisting all guests’ needs and inquiries.
  • Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Other duties as assigned e.g. inspect rooms prior to event (pristine condition).
