About The Position

The Banquet Setup Attendant ensures banquet events are arranged according to client requirements and the banquet event order. The attendant helps ensure client and guest satisfaction by making requested changes as needed. The role also supports guest service, food and dish handling, cleaning, stocking, and banquet event setup and breakdown.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Legal ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to regularly lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and adjust actions accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Know the banquet menu, offer suggestions, and answer guest questions.
• Fulfill guests’ special requests in accordance with company and brand standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishware.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, and/or silverware from the pantry to serving counters.
• Collect dirty dishes and tableware and run them through the dishwasher.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events.
• Clean counters, shelves, furniture, and/or equipment in the pantry or breakfast area.
• Clean spills and broken items and remove trash as necessary.
• Mop or vacuum floors.
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers and stock or refill appropriate areas with condiments.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
