Requirements

Venue, banquet, hospitality, facility operations, or related experience preferred.
Previous team leadership or scheduling experience preferred.
Strong organization, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, create, and execute room diagrams.
Ability to prioritize changing needs in a fast-paced venue environment.
Comfort using carts, lifts, tools, and venue equipment after required training.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the business schedule.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods during setup and teardown.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain room diagrams and venue layouts.
Schedule, direct, and supervise setup and teardown staff.
Ensure spaces are prepared accurately and on time according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), diagrams, and communicated specifications.
Conduct final room inspections before client and guest arrival.
Coordinate room flips and setup changes.
Provide operational support and resolve setup or facility issues as they arise.
Maintain consistent room setup standards and procedures.
Collaborate with Events, Sales, Banquets, Maintenance, and other venue teams.
Manage storage rooms and maintain an accurate inventory of venue equipment.
Oversee the safe movement and organization of tables, chairs, staging, risers, pipe and drape, and related equipment.
Monitor equipment condition and communicate repair or replacement needs.
Maintain organized, clean, and accessible storage and operational work areas.
Coordinate equipment needs for venue functions and special projects.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop setup staff in partnership with venue leadership.
Create weekly setup schedules based on business volume and operational needs.
Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate clear assignments and expectations.
Promote safe work practices and proper equipment-handling procedures.
Build staffing plans for large-scale functions and high-volume periods.
