Banquet Server - Institute for Advanced Learning & Research
About The Position
Provides food and beverage services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner; always ensures a positive guest experience. The Banquet Server will collaborate with a team of other servers and catering staff throughout each event and are supervised by a General Manager who sets schedules and oversees the events. - Proven work experience as a Banquet Server or similar role
- Must be professional and courteous to other staff and guests
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Relevant training and/or certifications
Responsibilities
- Focus on serving food and beverages to guests
- Helps prepare for and clean up after events
- Provides prompt and courteous service to all guests
- Assists with event preparation, room set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and place settings
- Assists with catering staff members as needed, to ensure optimum service for all guests
- May direct guests throughout the event
- Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction
- Must adhere to safety and quality regulations
- Maintain composure in a demanding environment
