On-Call Banquet Server
About The Position
Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to join their team. This role involves participating in the service, setup, and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions. The server will maintain knowledge of menu items to confidently describe food during plated and buffet meals, and communicate guest orders, including special needs and dietary restrictions, to the kitchen. Key responsibilities include delivering food and beverages in a timely manner, anticipating guest needs, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining Four Seasons service standards. The role also involves breakdown, cleaning, and setup of tables, buffets, and beverage stations, and working harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors.
Requirements
- Strong food & beverage knowledge is required
- Food Handler Card and MAST Alcohol Permit is required at time of hire
- Maintain ownership of duties through hard work and discipline
- Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, evening, weekends and holidays
- Banquet experience preferred
- Bartending skills is a plus
- Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
- Strong work ethic which includes a drive to grow, improve and learn everyday
- Energetic approach to his/her craft
- Calm composure under pressure

Responsibilities
- Participates in the service, setup and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions
- Maintains knowledge of menu items to be able to confidently describe food during plated and buffet meals along with receptions
- Communicates guest orders including any special needs, dietary restrictions or requests to the kitchen
- Delivers food and beverage to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure food quality
- Anticipates guests’ needs and responds promptly with utmost care and attention
- Ascertains satisfaction and offers suggestions in enhancing the guest experience
- Breakdowns, cleans and set-up of tables, food buffets and beverage stations
- Ensures Four Seasons service standards of excellence are achieved
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
