About The Position

As a Banquet Manager, your role is to ensure our guests enjoy a quality dining experience that will allow them to be productive and stay strong when they are away from home. Your ability to support the food and beverage department employees through hands on leadership will guarantee an extraordinary food experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Comply with InnVentures Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, coach, schedule and mentor all Banquet and Comp Breakfast employees.
  • Support employees and fill in as needed to ensure guests are receiving attentive and efficient service.
  • Proactively engage in conversation with guests, seeking feedback about their stay and their dining experience. Thank them and invite them to return!
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues or complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Monitor all food and beverage deliveries for portion control, quality and presentation.
  • Ensure that food handling and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering and receiving of all Banquet items.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
