About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson is the behind-the-scenes backbone of the events team, responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces and ensuring they are ready for functions. The role involves moving furniture and equipment, assisting with event logistics, and supporting the service team before, during, and after events. The position works closely with banquet and event staff to help events run smoothly and meet property standards.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have at least one year of prior restaurant, events, hospitality, or relevant experience.
Communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
Have a flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Be prepared for constant standing and walking, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
Be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
Bring positive energy and be ready to assist fellow support staff as a team player.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
Assist with staging and décor placement and ensure event spaces are polished and guest-ready.
Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep event spaces pristine.
Keep storage and service areas organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
Support banquet servers during events by replenishing supplies, clearing items, and resetting as needed.
Break down banquet setups after events in an organized and efficient manner.
Reset rooms for future events as directed by the Banquet Captain or Events Manager.
Assist with rental equipment, deliveries, and vendor items.
Work with the Banquet Captain, servers, and event team to support smooth operations.
Follow safety, sanitation, and property standards.
Promptly communicate issues, damages, or concerns to management.
