About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a talented Banquet Houseperson for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall. This is an opportunity to join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia, a new luxury hotel featuring 247 rooms and 35,000 sq ft of luxury meeting space. The hotel is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, offering exceptional access to the capital region.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Willingness to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest, which includes transporting staging, tables, chairs, dancefloors, etc., from storage to meeting rooms.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return items to storage.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
