About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a talented Banquet Houseperson for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences. This role involves setting up and breaking down meeting rooms, supplying and replenishing meeting rooms, and maintaining cleaning schedules to ensure the spaces remain presentable. The position requires physical activity, including transporting heavy materials, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and hotel standards.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Willingness to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Professionalism at all times.
• Courtesy and respect towards all guests and associates.
• Adherence to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest.
• Transport awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dancefloors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
